90 POINT — TINTORALBA 2012 !!! New reviews from “International Wine Cellar”

International wine cellar Our importer in USA has sent us the most recent reviews of our young wines from “International Wine Cellar“, one of the most prestigious and reliable publication. Here you are the tasting notes published:

2012 BODEGAS SANTA QUITERIA BT GARNACHA TINTORALBA ALMANSA 88 POINTS ($10) Vibrant ruby. Dark berries and cracked pepper on the nose. Sweet and energetic in the mouth, with very good definition to the dark berry and spicecake flavors. Really leads with its fruit, finishing clean, lively, nicely focused and persistent.

2012 bODEGAS Santa Quiteria TINTORALBA ORGANIC GARNACHA TINTORERA ALMANSA 88 POINTS ($16) Deep ruby. Pungent, smokeaccented aromas of dark berries and licorice, with a peppery nuance adding lift. Chewy, deeply pitched bitter cherry and dark chocolate flavors show good energy and a hint of violet. Closes with firm tannic grip, lingering smokiness and good length.

2012 BODEGAS SANTA QUITERIA ALTITUDE 1100 ALMANSA 89 POINTS ($11) (100% garnacha tintorera, a.k.a. alicante bouschet): Vivid ruby-red. Lively, spice-accented raspberry and blackberry aromas are perked up by a zesty mineral nuance, with a rose note emerging with air. Pliant red berry flavors are juicy and bright, with tangy minerality adding energy. A suave, silky wine for the price, showing good finishing thrust and sweetness.

2012 BODEGAS SANTA QUITERIA TINTORALBA GARNACHA TINTORERRA ALMANSA 90 POINTS ($12) (no oak): Vivid ruby-red. Exotic, high-toned red fruit aromas are complicated by incense and Asian spices (perhaps owing to the use of 20% whole clusters). Sappy, penetrating and emphatically spicy on the palate, offering vibrant black raspberry and cherry flavors and a hint of cracked pepper. Closes tangy and long, with a sexy floral pastille quality and no obvious tannins. This is an amazing bargain.
